5 Apps to Help Simplify Your Life

5 Apps to Simplify Your Life

1. Key Ring

We all love rewards cards, because who doesn’t love getting coupons or free stuff! What I don’t like is carrying around all those rewards cards, my wallet has enough in it already. This is where Key Ring can help simplify your life, it holds all your rewards cards for you and more. Key Ring also holds membership cards, library cards, and gift cards! No more digging through your wallet trying to find a card, or losing it when it falls off your key ring. Also, your wallet will definitely be lighter.

Available on Apple & Android phones.

2. One Receipt

Y’all this is one amazing app that I’m currently obsessed with. As a new business owner, I’m getting used to saving all my receipts, but I hate saving paper I don’t need! My fiancé is the opposite, I have found receipts for a candy bar he bought 3 years ago, not kidding! This app saves me from having to worry about losing a receipt, and it can also grab receipts sent to your email!

Available on Apple iPhones.

3. Drop Box

I love Drop Box because many times I am on different computers. Sometimes I either need to continue working on a project or save something I’ve started on from another computer.  I also have a few graphics I like to keep such as my logo, profile image, and social media icons in Drop Box so I can always have them handy if I need them.

Available on Apple & Android phones.

4. Evernote

Evernote is sticky notes on steroids, and I love this app when I’m on my computer. I’m always writing little notes everywhere, and most of the time it is easier to type something up real quick on my computer vs paper. Evernote simplifies my life because I can keep this app open instead of creating a word document like I used to do. While I’m still a huge proponent of written to do lists, his app allows you to place pictures & links, unlike a written to do list. I mainly use this app to plan out blog posts and brainstorm ideas for them.

Available on Apple & Android phones.

5. Grocery IQ

I think everyone can use a grocery app, and this is the best one available in my opinion. While it does take a while to set up initially, it is definitely worth that bit of extra work in the beginning. Grocery IQ allows you to simplify your life and grocery shopping, by building your grocery list and using it multiple times. You can also scan bar codes of products and add it to your list which is easier than searching the database.

Available on Apple & Android phones.

Do you already use some of these apps? What apps do you use to organize and simplify your life?

One Receipt is actually pretty awesome. I started using Scannable by Evernote for receipts.
I also use the sunrise app to keep me updated on what’s happening for the day!

    • March 5, 2015 / 2:10 PM

What is the Sunrise app? I’ve searched it, but there are a few different ones. You’re not the first person who’s mentioned it either.

It’s a calendar app, I have it synchronized with my Exchange and Google Calendar. If you have an iOS device, go to the app store and it’s sunrise calendar, should be the first one. It’s totally worth it, user-friendly, and pretty!

This is a great post! I have never heard of most of the apps on the list and am excited to try them. I am only a little bummed the receipt app doesn’t work on android, I will have to do a little research on that.

    • March 5, 2015 / 2:12 PM

So glad you’ve enjoyed the post! I’m glad you found some new apps!

I use Drop Box ALL. THE. TIME. My mom recently introduced me to Evernote, and I am really starting to enjoy it as well.
The One Receipt has me truly interested. I hate keeping little pieces of paper around that I can’t write on. They take up WAY too much room in my file cabinet, and if the cabinet breaks (as it often does), then the sky rains receipts and they end up all over the house.
Thanks for the tip! I may have just found a life saver!

Dropbox is super simple, you can either upload the files on the website or drop them in the folder on your computer! And Evernote is just like a notepad, but all online!
